The Story of Israel
The story of Israel is a long and often confusing account of God’s interaction with humanity. Israel is a nation caught in a frustrating cycle of disobedience, suffering, and repentance—their history punctuated with instances of violence, brutality, animal sacrifice, and sexuality gone awry.
How do we reconcile this story with the teachings of Jesus? Is this a story that is still relevant to modern readers at all?
