Dealing With Your Past

For some, the past is a warm bed of comfortable nostalgia. For others, memory is a space pregnant with the ghosts of trauma and tragedy. For many, the past is both. All of us have inherited patterns of dissonance and disfunction from our families, from the culture in which we were raised, and from a world skewed out of alignment with the way of Jesus. If spiritual health and emotional health are irrevocably tethered to one another, then dealing with our pasts is essential in becoming healthy and mature disciples of Jesus.
