Learning at Van City

We believe God wants us to love him not only with our hearts, souls, and strength, but with our minds as well. We offer several ways to learn outside of the normal weekend gatherings. “Basics” introduces people to Bridgetown’s history, theological distinctives, and Missional Communities. The House of Learning offers weekly, seminary-style classes focused on equipping followers of Jesus to better understand biblical studies, theology, and doctrine on their own.

Bible Reading Plan

We believe the Scriptures are inspired and authoritative. The Bible is not a rulebook. It’s more than principles for a better life. It’s better than simply a manifesto for the Kingdom of God. The Bible is a story — the meta-narrative of God’s redemptive work in creation. We want to know the Bible well. Each year we encourage people to use this Bible reading outline and journey through the entirety of the Scriptures together.
